The President of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, has accepted the patronage of the 25th European Youth Chess Championship to be held from September 20 to October 1 2015, in Porec.

First of all, my wish is to welcome the gathering of children and young people from across Europe in a competition that contributes to the promotion of the sport of chess as a support for the creative and intellectual progress and the development of a healthy spirit - said President Grabar-Kitarovic.

Finally, the President wished success in the organization and holding of the championship.
